Nan
Nan, Thailand

Nan province is tucked into the northeast corner of Thailand, bordering Laos. What Nan has in abundance is pure balm for the post lockdown soul…Natural beauty and peace.

Known for its numerous national parks, Nan offers visitors the elemental healing power of walks along majestic limestone mountain trails among brilliant tropical plants to pristine waterfalls, at vast Doi Phu Kha National Park.

For those who love wildlife, the heavily forested Khun Nan National Park is home to wild boars, black bears, reptiles and birds. Even the leading city, Nan, on the banks of the Nan River, is laid back and quietly beautiful, to promote relaxation and rejuvenation.

Nan’s unique ethnic groups are another highlight. The predominant hill peoples are Mien, with smaller numbers of Hmong, while dispersed throughout Nan are four lesser-known groups: the Thai Lü, Mabri, Htin and Khamu.
