Changi - an airport and a destination

Singapore’s Changi airport is so amazing it has become a destination. Travel to Changi on Singapore Airlines, voted 2019’s Best Airline in the World by Trip Advisor’s Travelers Choice Awards, and see what all the hype is about.

Changi’s latest addition is Jewel, a nature-themed entertainment and retail complex on the landside of Changi Airport which welcomes about 300,000 visitors a day.  Savvy travelers build in extra hours at Changi just to experience Jewel’s many attractions.

Jewel’s centerpiece is the world’s tallest indoor waterfall, the Rain Vortex, a dramatic site that’s usually heard before it’s seen. The Rain Vortex is 130 feet in height.  Wrapped around the Rain Vortex is the Shiseido Forest Valley, a four-story garden filled with walking trails set amid more than 235,000 square feet of tropical landscaping. A Skytrain, which connects Changi terminals 1, 2 and 3, cuts through the middle of the Jewel, passing by the Vortex and adding to the photogenic scene.

Jewel’s other attractions include a hotel, a museum, and more than 300 retail and dining facilities. Family friendly Canopy Park features mazes, Sky Nets, Discovery Slides and the 160 foot Canopy Bridge.

Singapore Airlines links the US with non stop service to Singapore from New York (currently the longest commercial flight in the world), Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle.
