Explore the historic spice-trading center of Cochin, founded in 1341, a stop on the main trade route between Europe and China.  Visit Periyar, the ‘Land of the Spices’ Columbus was seeking when he stumbled on the New World. Spend a night aboard a houseboat in the Backwaters of Alleppy. Discover a tropical paradise, otherwise known as Kumarakom.
